Getting started on iPhone and iPad

Ottermo shows the terminals on your own computers. Connect it to one of them in either of two ways:

• Pair with your Mac. In Ottermo on your Mac, choose Pair iPhone or iPad… and scan the code it shows with your phone. From then on your phone reaches your Mac wherever you are.
• Add a host. Any machine you can reach over SSH: enter its address and your user name, and sign in with a password or a key. On Linux, Ottermo puts its server in your home directory the first time, with no root needed.

Notifications

When an agent needs you, Ottermo can tell you on your Lock Screen and let you answer from there. Allow notifications when the app asks, or later in your phone’s Settings, under Notifications › Ottermo. They stop while the app is open, since you can see what needs you there.

Your data

What you type and what your agents do stays on your computers. The privacy page says exactly what passes through our servers and what we keep.
